They are basically give you an awesome deal. Add the rest of the components up and you will see this price is pure robbery for Newegg. Overall Review: For this price you are getting an almost $600 processor which is almost half the cost of the system. I am quite sure the max the unit could fit is a a 12" card. My GTX 780 barely fits due to the wiring inside the case. The front header plastic cover that hides the front usb ports does not feel durable. The system only has 2 x SATA 6Gb/s ports and 6 x SATA 3Gb/s ports. One in the rear and one in the front header. The mouse will obviously take one so that leaves you with 2 USB 2.0 ports in the back. The keyboard requires two ports (one for keyboard, and the other for the keyboard's power/lighting). In all honesty I prefer the Aurora case over the Aurora ALX due to the fact that the vents are always open and do not require additional height clearance.Ĭons: The cpu fan is not adjustable and can get quite loud when running anything cpu intensive (heavy gaming, rendering, compressing large files.). And once you are back into the light the lights light up. Or in Metro if you are are in the dark hiding, the lights on the system and keyboard turn off. If you are hurt in BF3 the systems lights flash red until your life heals up. I know with some research I can get it to 4.8Ghz but I am completely satisfied with the speed it offers during gaming sessions.Īnother cool thing thats really not talked about is that in games like BF3 or Metro Last Light is that the lights on the keyboard and system change colors depending on whats going on in the game. I was able to overclock the 3930K to 4.4Ghz (from 3.5Ghz) with a simple multiplier adjustment in the Bios. I was able to get this at $1175 from NewEgg. This same build at Alienware right now (excluding the GTX560ti) would of costed almost $1900. It came with the keyboard drivers, and Alienware Windows 7 Home 64bit restore disc. I checked the service tag on Dell's website and it said my unit was built in Jan 2013. I opened her up and everything from the wiring and to the aesthetics was in the condition that I expected highly from Dell/Alieware. Some parts around the desktop were wrapped in protective plastic. The desktop had some dust spectacles (I am assuming the unit was sitting in Dell warehouse after being repaired for some time), but looked and smelled brand new. They were wrapped in a vacuum sealed plastic. Once the unit arrived in a big generic dell box (quite heavy) I was surprised how clean and like new the system was. I saw this excellent deal and priced all the parts out on NewEgg and came to the conclusion that I would save a few hundred dollars buying this rig versus building a new rig.

So I was running a since 2008 and I was due for an upgrade because many of cpu limited games started to show pretty badly.

I always wanted to buy a full fledge gaming pc but unfortunately their prices were always far out of reach versus building my own. Pros: I have never purchased a gaming pc before.
